Independent communications counsel

Narrative and positioning for technical founders.

I help early-stage deep-tech founders translate complex work into clear, credible communications for customers, capital, government, enterprise buyers, and the press.

What I Help With

Communications work that makes technical companies easier to understand, evaluate, and trust.

Narrative and positioning

Define the story, category language, proof points, and founder point of view that make the company legible to the right audiences.

Communications strategy

Build practical plans for media relations, executive visibility, announcements, issues management, and crisis preparation.

High-stakes audience messaging

Shape messaging for government, investor, enterprise, and technical audiences without sanding down the substance.

Why Me

Senior communications judgment with the technical fluency to work directly with founders building hard things.

I am a Washington, D.C. metro area communications leader with roughly 14 years of experience across corporate communications, media relations, executive messaging, crisis communications, and public-sector affairs.

Today, I lead corporate communications work at a major technology company. Earlier in my career, I served as a federal government spokesperson at the U.S. Department of Justice.

My independent practice is built around a rare combination: senior communications experience plus genuine technical fluency in AI and LLM systems, automation, and complex product environments. I can pressure-test the substance with technical founders, then translate it into language that non-specialist audiences can act on.
